Quepos Fishing Report-Tuesday September 12,2010

Quepos Fishing Report-Tuesday September 12,2010

Today we fished offshore with some guys from Tampa. They wanted to try for Billfish so we headed out of quepos to the South. We had good luck a few days ago in this direction but as we got out to the 22-25 mile range we couldn't find any birds or bait. We made a turn to the North and trolled for a few hours in that direction without seeing any action. I decided to try the 26 as a last resort and we were lucky to save the day with a couple of really nice Wahoo. Here's a couple of photos~

Tony with a good size Wahoo. Nice work Tony!

Here's Tom with his Wahoo. It really gave him a fight!

As you can see there is some good fishing right now in Costa Rica. The Marlin bite has been on as well. I almost ran over one with the boat today. It was tailing down sea and almost ran into the bow! If we had been just about 10 seconds earlier she would have passed right through our baits....... oh well, that's how it goes. Thanks for reading and tight lines!

Quepos Fishing Report-Saturday September 11,2010

Quepos Fishing Report-Saturday September 11,2010

Today we headed out of Quepos looking for the Tuna Schools. We ran out about 23 miles and started fishing. Within 20 minutes we had a strike and hook up on the Shotgun. It was a small Yellowfin. We were all pretty excited to have some fresh Sashimi. We ended up getting 2 more Yellowfins that were bigger. One of the Clients wasn't feeling too well and wanted to head in so we called it a day. A good day of fishing for sure. Here are a few photos.
Here's Jud from Atlanta with a little Yellowfin

Mate Mario and Jud show off 2 nice Yellowfins!!

Quepos Fishing Report-Saturday September 4,2010

Quepos Fishing Report- Saturday September 4, 2010

We fished the 26 again yesterday. It was slow going but we stuck it out and came away with a Sail and a nice Wahoo. Our Clients were happy because they hadn't ever caught a Sail or Wahoo before! Glad to hook them up on their first of each! Here's Bill and Cindy from Florida with their fish. Great work guys. Thanks for fishing with us!

Bill with his first Sailfish!

and here's Cindy with a nice Wahoo.

Hopefully we'll get out there soon and get some more. As you can see, the fishing is still great here in Costa Rica, even in the "off" season.

Book your Charters now as the Season is going to be here before we know it.

Thanks for reading and tight lines!
